Wadkin EKA 5 Head Tenoner
The Wadkin EKA 5 Head Tenoner handles a wide variety of work with speed, accuracy and provides a good finish. It is Ideal for tee halving, tenon with top and bottom scribe, sash check rail, trenching grooving or housing. The Wadkin EKA Tenoner will tenon, scribe the shoulders and cut off to length in one operation.
The Wadkin EKA tenoner takes timber 24” x 6” deep and cut tenons up to 6” long in one pass. Width of groove up to 4” wide can be cut on timber up to 24” wide and any length. Cross-cutting done with a saw head up to 24” x 2 1/2” deep.
Top and bottom tenoning heads have Individual adjustment, for the production of various joinery components including open end mortising, scribing and square turning. Powerful tenon cutter heads, modern aluminium tenon cutter blocks with disposable TCT cutters. Two work piece clamps. DC braking system fitted.

Built to exacting standards which, coupled with sound practical design, explains why users everywhere are unanimous in endorsing its reliability, accuracy and output capacity.
The horizontal headstocks on the Wadkin EKA 5 head tenoner are each arranged with 2 h.p. built-in totally enclosed motors. The Wadkin tenoner is designed to be of ample size for the heaviest cuts. Experience with hundreds of machines in service has proved this to be the correct distribution of power for efficiency and maximum Power factors with low running cost. Spindles revolve within heavy type ball-bearings in dust-proof housings. Two 3” cutter blocks are fitted to each head, enabling the cut to be distributed round the cutting circle. Spur cutters are fitted for giving a clean finish to the shoulders. Both headstocks are mounted in vee slides and have independent adjustment both vertically and horizontally by hand wheel and screw. Powerful locks are fitted. Headstocks are fitted with stops to prevent fouling each other and efficient swing-away guards provided to both tenon heads.

These heads are each attached to the main headstock slides and adjust with them, thus simplifying the setting. In addition, they have vertical and horizontal adjustments by hand wheel and screw. A separate 2 h .p. motor is built into each head. The cutter blocks, which are of steel, have four dovetail slots. They are secured to 1 ¼” diameter keyed arbores’. By substituting a loose spindle and appropriate tools for the square cutter block, a variety of joints such as double tenons, fork joints, can be worked.
Wadkin EKA 5 Head Tenoner Cut-off Saw
This unit is mounted at the rear of the machine out of the way of the operator. The motor is built into the main frame and forms a circular slide which adjusts horizontally by hand wheel. Saw is mounted directly on the motor shaft on a one inch arbore and is efficiently guarded.
